how should I go about getting myself some land?
I want to buy land rather than property to build a roundhouse and live there all year round.
Also soon I will be a qualified primary teacher and Forest School leader, so I am wanting to teach on my land. I will grow my own food and have a small wild camp-site.
how should I go about getting land?
Can I get any loans or grants that are fitting to what I plan to do?
I am in England and intend to stay in England for this.
oh and don’t bother offering me loans!! I am not an idiot
That’s the classic problem isn’t yet. The land that is the most affordable is the land that is the most remote and inaccessible. Most of our wealth is in earnings that we have yet to make so we must live where we can make a living. The more remote we are, the less income we will have. The only way to achieve your dream is to focus on personal finances and save up enough so that you do not have to rely on a job for an income thereby you can live in a remote location or till you are making enough that you can afford a place where you can continue to make a living.
England has been populated for a very long time. They used to have grants and loans for people to leave England to settle the new world. It’s doubtful that there would be any programs to settle England. You might find a forgotten program for grants and loans to go settle in Canada, the program whereby unclaimed crown land can become yours if you can produce a commercial harvest in a year is still active but the only land left on the program are land where Lichen grows an inch in a hundred years.
